The 10 Returning "Favorites" were announced in January.  I was disappointed to see many of the names.  I'm not a fan to begin with of returning players, but this season's crop seems to be people who are not favorites but whiners and coasters and boneheads. Here's my assessment in order of their first appearance on Survivor. Survivor: 16 Micronesia -- Fans vs. Favorites" Erik Reichenbach -- Erik best known for giving away the Immunity Idol, in order to be voted out by the 4 remaining women.  Although he coasted at times, he won 3 straight Individual Immunity Necklaces and potentially could have won more had he not made the boneheaded move.   Clearly he would have needed to win all of the remaining Immunity Challenges to have a chance.   Erik is probably the best choice from the Fan side of Micronesia to come back.   Survivor:  17 Gabon  Corinne Kaplan-- Due to editing, you never know if you see the real people on many seasons of Survivor,...

Welcome to TotallyGruntledSurvivor, one of many TotallyGruntled Blogs.   This one, as you may guess will be about the CBS TV Show Survivor which starts it's 26th Season on February 13th. The first season of Survivor that I watched was China (Season 15) in the fall of 2007.   I did not watch the following 3 seasons, but started watching regularly with Tocantins.   Following Tocantins, the "Hantz Obsession"  with Russell or Brandon in 4 of the next 5 (and Brandon again this season) really turned me off.  One World kept me interested, and Phillipines may have been the best post-merge season I've seen. I have since gone back and watched seasons 14-16 and will shortly watch 17 before watching Season 26. In future posts leading up to the season, I will go through what I liked didn't like, my views on the returning "Favorites" for this season. I invite your feedback.
