I've always perceived Malcolm as Ozzy with a personality.  We get to see them play on the same season and my bet is on Malcolm to last longer than Ozzy.  Malcolm will definitely be perceived as a threat, but his Game Changers tribe already has two winners including two time winner Sandra Diaz-Twine so the target may be off Malcolm early.

Malcolm was on the tribe that was the fastest to extinction on Phillipines, losing 4 of 6 members in 4 tribal councils at the beginning of the season.  He and Denise were dispersed to the other two tribes, which saved him.  He and Denise then survived to the merge, teaming with Skupin and Lisa to create the final 4.  Despite having an advantage in the final immunity challenge lost to Skupin, while Denise realized he would win the million, and helped vote him out on Day 38.

The following season on Fans Vs. Favorites II, Malcolm fell out of favor with the favorites early on, but ultimately was the kingpin of my favorite Tribal Council Ever.

Survivor 44--Final Seven

Although I am enjoying the cast of Survivor 44, I can't say I'm enjoying the season.  In the opening episode, a blunt force head trauma at 8:20 into the episode eliminating one promising character on Tika--Bruce and a rock climbing injury at 41:30, that had a lingering effect on Matthew on Ratu led to the first immunity challenge requiring the ridiculous strength of  six people being played with five and eventually four on Ratu as Brandon who had performed the Sweat challenge with Matthew who had to sit out the challenge because of his arm. Ratu unsurprisingly lost the challenge, and Soka at full strength won, which led to the first of four straight women being voted off, prior to the merge.  Matthew and Bruce were the only men to leave before going to the combined beach.   The abundance of advantages/losses, idols and fake advantages were overdone this season, and the tribe "swap" was too fixed. Episode 4 "Dirty Deed" Preview

One postscript from last week's episode.  The end result was not  unlike the rock draw in other seasons and someone deserving to stay, like Jessica last season was lost from the game.    As painful as it was to watch Malcolm leave, it's part of the game.  If J.T. hadn't done what he did, then perhaps it would have been Sierra that left the game. Tonight, Debbie appears to go berserk and get crazy with Brad and Tai, which usually means she stays.  After the twists of the first three weeks, who knows what this week's twist will be and how it will affect the game.
