Troyzan for the most part was a very likeable character in a season of very vicious people like Colton and Alicia.   He played hard during the season, and eventually turned a little vicious later in the game as he was fighting for survival against the women who had taken over the game.   He showed good instincts on what was going on from the Men's tribe volunteering to go to Tribal Council to vote off Bill, and realizing that the tide was turning as the women were teaming up to get rid of the men, while the other men believed they were working with the women.

Troyzan will start out on the Mana Tribe which has many threats, but has the personality to bring together a coalition early to take on the big guns.  He has the ability and charm to make his way to the merge and at least on the jury again, and with a little help and luck could find himself in the Final Tribal Council. He's five years older than the last time and at 55 he may not be as strong in Individual Immunity Challenges.

Survivor 44--Final Seven

Although I am enjoying the cast of Survivor 44, I can't say I'm enjoying the season.  In the opening episode, a blunt force head trauma at 8:20 into the episode eliminating one promising character on Tika--Bruce and a rock climbing injury at 41:30, that had a lingering effect on Matthew on Ratu led to the first immunity challenge requiring the ridiculous strength of  six people being played with five and eventually four on Ratu as Brandon who had performed the Sweat challenge with Matthew who had to sit out the challenge because of his arm. Ratu unsurprisingly lost the challenge, and Soka at full strength won, which led to the first of four straight women being voted off, prior to the merge.  Matthew and Bruce were the only men to leave before going to the combined beach.   The abundance of advantages/losses, idols and fake advantages were overdone this season, and the tribe "swap" was too fixed. Episode 4 "Dirty Deed" Preview

One postscript from last week's episode.  The end result was not  unlike the rock draw in other seasons and someone deserving to stay, like Jessica last season was lost from the game.    As painful as it was to watch Malcolm leave, it's part of the game.  If J.T. hadn't done what he did, then perhaps it would have been Sierra that left the game. Tonight, Debbie appears to go berserk and get crazy with Brad and Tai, which usually means she stays.  After the twists of the first three weeks, who knows what this week's twist will be and how it will affect the game.
