Episode 6 Postscript

This weeks episode has created a lot of stir and discussion, and although the Transgender conversation is important, it may or may not detract from the rest of the season, which again is uninteresting.  I'm finding it more and more that the GameChangers theme is not about the players so much as the twists the producers have put in.   They are overtwising.  

The cumulative vote has been 40-8 with the other player never receiving more than 2 votes, other than Sierra's 6 which were nullified.  That was a unified vote though because there were two tribes, and not a true vote of a tribe.

It seems players are hesitant to make a big move, because those that can or do are now out of the game.  I don't at this point see a clear winner, I see a lot of coasters.

Survivor 44--Final Seven

Although I am enjoying the cast of Survivor 44, I can't say I'm enjoying the season.  In the opening episode, a blunt force head trauma at 8:20 into the episode eliminating one promising character on Tika--Bruce and a rock climbing injury at 41:30, that had a lingering effect on Matthew on Ratu led to the first immunity challenge requiring the ridiculous strength of  six people being played with five and eventually four on Ratu as Brandon who had performed the Sweat challenge with Matthew who had to sit out the challenge because of his arm. Ratu unsurprisingly lost the challenge, and Soka at full strength won, which led to the first of four straight women being voted off, prior to the merge.  Matthew and Bruce were the only men to leave before going to the combined beach.   The abundance of advantages/losses, idols and fake advantages were overdone this season, and the tribe "swap" was too fixed. Episode 4 "Dirty Deed" Preview

One postscript from last week's episode.  The end result was not  unlike the rock draw in other seasons and someone deserving to stay, like Jessica last season was lost from the game.    As painful as it was to watch Malcolm leave, it's part of the game.  If J.T. hadn't done what he did, then perhaps it would have been Sierra that left the game. Tonight, Debbie appears to go berserk and get crazy with Brad and Tai, which usually means she stays.  After the twists of the first three weeks, who knows what this week's twist will be and how it will affect the game.
